Gerard Way sings in My
Chemical Romance. His birthday is 9th April 1977. He has been through alot with drugs,alcohol and depression but he got over
depression and quit drugs and alcohol.Well done Gerard!
Gerard has been in a few
bands with his brother Mikey Way (bass player from My Chemical Romance) and also one band before My Chemical Romance with Ray
Toro (Lead guitarist from My Chemical Romance). Gerard decided he wanted to be in a band again when he was studying Art and
was at an Art school and he saw the two towers fall down from a near by building and thats when he thought what was he doing
with his life,hes wasting it away on Art thats getting him nowhere,he wants to make a difference to the world. Shortly after,he
told Mikey he wanted to start the band again so Mikey played Bass,Gerard phoned up Ray and asked him if he was happy with
what he was doing with his life and Ray said no and Gerard said to Ray if he would like to try doing the band again and Ray
said yes.
